New stock of the high-speed DDR3 ECC Reg memory for Dell PowerEdge server are available at the speed of DDR3 1066MHz and DDR3 1333MHz.
New Dell Poweredge server are able to take high-speed DDR3 RAM with maximum possible upgrade of upto 256GB, 512GB or 1TB. This is possible with the dual-processor configuration with each processor able to take 128GB/256GB or 512GB memory. The available memory are the PC3-8500 CL7 18c 256x8 DDR3-1066 ECC Reg DIMM and PC3-10666 CL9 18c 128x8 Registered ECC DDR3-1333 DIMM.
The newer Dell PowerEdge Servers series takes the PC3-10666 DDR3-1333 240pin Registered ECC DIMM Memory Type, the servers are pre-installed with standard DDR3 memory. It is possible to upgrade the newer Dell PowerEdge Servers to up to a maximum memory capacity of 256GB/512GB/1TB of memory, the server comes with 6, 8, 16 or 18 Sockets to install Memory with a dual-processor configuration setup. For maximum memory specification and memory slot configuration please refer to your Dell Poweredge server documentation. For best PowerEdge Server performance always use the maximum amount of allowed Memory per slot with the proper memory configuration and settings. Refer to your Dell manual for exact memory upgrade details.
